Background
The origins of AriensCo. are in it’s founder’s first company- Brillion Iron Works. Henry Ariens lost his company and fortune in the great depression, but the inventor could not be stopped. He started tinkering in his garage and invented a mechanical way to remove snow from his walkway. AriensCo. was born!
Design and Development
For this one, I built a mock-up with wood, to make sure that the display was achieving what I was intending it to. Inspired by factory architecture, this elongated sign holder provides a seperation of the hallway space, encouraging visitors to discover Henry Ariens’ early, eccentric inventions (one of which was designed to be powered by a dog!).
